Covid-19 has shown that the NHS can change with speed and impact. Now the challenge is to make that change sustainable. How can previous cases of lasting, successful large-scale change in healthcare help us maintain these latest innovations and transformations?
Our free week-long conference explored how we can best learn from the past in order to create and sustain a better healthcare system in the future.
The conference brought together people who wanted to:
- learn about key examples of large-scale change in healthcare
- hear about the experience and learning from those involved in these changes, including the challenges faced and how these were overcome
- discuss how to apply this learning for sustaining change in our current context.
Who’s behind it?
The Changing Healthcare programme was commissioned by NHS England and NHS Improvement and the Department of Health and Social Care (Research Programmes). Kaleidoscope delivered it in partnership with Health Services Research UK.
